Dad's Night

The Parent Education Program hosted a "Cruisin' With Dad" Dad's Night on February 22 (No Mom's Allowed!). 31 dads, grandpas, uncles and friends and 35 children attended.
After enjoying a delicious roast beef dinner, everyone got busy making their cars. Using boxes, recycled materials and art supplies, the dads and kids built and decorated their cars. The creativity was amazing! The families built all kinds of cars with various accessories: race cars, dune buggies and cars with pipes, spoilers, roll bars and antennas. Many children "raced" around the cafeteria in their creations and the men definitely got their exercise!
Each family also received a children's book and booklet of parenting information and ways to have fun with their children.
