At the February Board Meeting the East Alton School Board honored the 110% Award recipients for February. Keep reading to see what Micaela Cruise and Ashley McDaid’s teachers had to say about these two outstanding students.
Ashley McDaid
Ashley works very hard on her schoolwork. Ashley began playing flute in summer band last summer and has already caught up with many of the other flute players in her class. Ashley is also the manager for the 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams. She works very hard to take stats at the games and is always at practice to help the coaches out with drills or to help the girls improve and clean up. (Ashley was nominated for the 110% Award by Mr. D and Mrs. Smith).
Micaela Cruise
Micaela has stepped up her behavior in a positive way since playing volleyball. She has become a team player and does whatever is best for the team whether it be supporting others on the floor, helping from the bench or cheering on the 8th grade. She always makes sure that things are cleaned up and put away after games and practice and is definitely turning into a wonderful young lady. (Micaela was nominated for the 110% Award by Mrs. Smith).
