What we are LEARNING in the 5th grade?
*English-We are learning how to write exciting sentences and paragraphs using all of the parts of speech.
*Math-We are learning all the concepts of geometry.
*Science-We have just finished participating in a coloring contest called Bonkers for Birds in which the students researched and wrote about some of the birds of Illinois. The winners from the contest will be announced in March. Next, we will be starting our unit on the human body.
*Reading-In reading we are learning similes, metaphors, and idioms.
