Washington Early Childhood Center: Building Notes

Bus Safety Letter

by Cindy Paruch

January 22, 2007

Bus Students, Parents, and Guardians:

For the safety and security of our students, we would like to take this time to remind students, parents, or anyone responsible for picking-up or dropping-off students of the district procedures and policy for the use of designated bus stops. We cannot allow students to get on or off of the bus in areas that are not designated bus stops. This leads to confusion and can be a real safety issue. Also, please do not try to flag down a bus in attempt to get them to stop. If you need to talk with the bus driver, please communicate with them at the driver’s side window. The opening of the bus door compromises the security of the driver and the students riding the bus. In the case of an emergency, please contact your child(ren)’s school, and the school office will contact the bus driver. We appreciate your help in this matter. If you have any question, please contact Doug Bogert at 433-2277.
