Jay'Lei's peers nominated her as Mrs. Schranck's Outstanding Oiler of Responsibility and Mrs. Schranck thinks she is a perfect example of responsibility. Jay'Lei's peers said Jay'Lei is always doing the right thing, is always respectful, turns assignments in on time, follows directions, and is a good example to those around her and Mrs. Schranck couldn't agree more. She says Jay'Lei is an outstanding leader at Eastwood! Keep showing those traits of responsibility, Jay'Lei!

Trinity is Ms. Jones's Outstanding Oiler of Responsibility because she always makes sure she is prepared for class and ready to learn. She is responsible for her learning because she always gives her best effort and helps others as well. Trinity is a model student for others when it comes to being a responsible classmate too. Ms. Jones loves having her in their class family!
Bella is Ms. Trask's Outstanding Oiler of Responsibility because she is always doing the right thing. She listens during class, completes her work to the best of her ability, and turns in homework every day. She is a great example for her classmates. Ms. Trask says she is so proud of Bella, keep up the great work!
Mrs. Wille's class chose Charlie as their outstanding oiler of responsibility. He is always showing kindness to others, follows directions the first time, and is a model classmate in our class! They are so proud to have Charlie in their class! Way to go, Charlie!
As we approach Halloween, we want to ensure that our school celebration is not only fun but also safe and inclusive for everyone. Just a friendly reminder about our Halloween costume guidelines!
Novi is Mrs. Luce Outstanding Oiler of Responsilbility because she demonstrates responsible behavior every single day! She completes her work, and listens well to Ms. Luce's directions. She picks up her area after breakfast & lunch and always works hard! She is responsible with the items in her desk, items outside at recess, and most importantly she is responsible with other's FEELINGS! She never says anything that hurt's another person's feelings. I am so happy that I am Novi's teacher this year!
Ava is the Outstanding Oiler of Responsibility for Mrs. Scifres classroom! She is like a mini teacher. Ava shows a lot of responsibility by helping her teachers and even her friends. She proves her responsible abilities by always following the school and classroom rules. She is also responsible with her words as she has good manners and speaks respectfully to everyone. Ava has a great power where she can help students calm down when they are upset. We just love having responsible Ava in our class.
Picture retake day is coming to Eastwood on November 8th!
All district offices of the East Alton Elementary District #13 will be closed Friday, October 27, 2023. There is no school for students.

This is a friendly reminder that doors open at 8:00 am for student arrival. Students dropped off before then are not supervised by district staff and will not be able to enter the building before 8:00 unless they are attending ESP or a regularly scheduled activity.

Laiyah is Mrs. McCann's Outstanding Oiler for Responsibility because she always makes sure she comes to class ready to learn. She does her reading homework each night and gets it signed. She knows what is expected each day and doesn't need reminded on what needs to be done. Laiyah is a wonderful example to the class on how to stay on task. Mrs. McCann is so very proud of Laiyah and loves having her as part of their class family!

He is very passionate about learning, and helps keep us on track to get the most out of every lesson. When Avery needs help, he uses problem solving steps to come up with a solution on his own. Mrs. Campbell's class would like to nominate Miss Maya for our Outstanding Oiler of Respect. Our class chose Maya because she goes above and beyond in using manners and following school rules. Her friends say that she is kind and polite and treats them nicely. Maya also shows respect to all of the adults in Eastwood, whether it be at specials, lunch, or anyone she encounter in the day. She uses manners by always saying please, and thank you, and raising her hand at appropriate times. You will always catch Maya demonstrating hallway and classroom expectations, and even better is that she does it with a smile on her face. She is respectful, responsible, and safe when playing outside on the playground, and demonstrates how to be a good friend to others. Mrs. Campbell could go on and on about how delightful Maya is, and she feel extremely lucky to get to be her teacher this year. She makes Eastwood a great school because of her respectful and positive attitude. Way to go Maya!
