Dear Eastwood Elementary Families,
We're excited to announce our upcoming Red Ribbon Week from October 23-November 1! This week is dedicated to promoting a drug-free lifestyle and encouraging healthy choices among our students.
Throughout the week, we will also have fun activities and discussions to promote awareness about making healthy choices.
Thank you for supporting our mission to keep our students healthy and safe!
Let’s make this week fun and impactful!

Malakai was nominated by his peers to be this month's Outstanding Oiler of Responsibility. Malakai's peers say that he is always nice, an amazing friend, sits quiet, and completes all of his work. Mrs. Jones states that Malakai is a great friend and even better student. He works hard and is a wonderful friend to all of his peers. I love having him in my class and can not wait to see all the amazing things he does this year! Keep being great, Malakai!

Halloween Costume Guidelines
Please see the attached letter for our Halloween costume guidelines. Students are welcome to wear costumes on October 31, which is also our Red Ribbon Parade day! We look forward to celebrating both occasions and promoting a drug-free lifestyle while enjoying the festive spirit of Halloween.
Thank you for your support!

Mrs. Hinnen and Mr. Hensley’s class chose Joey as our Outstanding Oiler of Responsibility and we couldn’t agree more. Joey comes to school ready and prepared for the day no matter what it brings. She always has a smile on her face and put smiles on her friends face as well. We are so in our fifth grade class and cannot wait for her to shine this year. Keep up the good work, Joey.

Mrs. Keys chose Aiden as our classes Outstanding Oiler of Respect, because that is the definition of Aiden. He is always on task, uses please and thank you without reminders, utilizes his learner skills, and does his best to have model behavior every day. Aiden keeps his body in his own bubble and uses his words to talk through things that bother him. He is an excellent example to follow.

During October, our students will be participating in Anti-Bullying activities focused on Being a Buddy, Not a Bully!

This year, we are excited to introduce a poster-making contest. The theme should focus on kindness, inclusion, and standing up against bullying. Posters will be due on Thursday, October 10th, and the winners will be announced on Wednesday, October 16th.
