12 Days of Christmas Fun!
We’re excited to announce our optional 12 Days of Christmas event for our students! Each day will feature a fun, festive activity, but participation is totally optional—feel free to join in whenever you can!

Mrs. Hinnen and Mr. Hensley class chose Tayvien as our outstanding Oiler of Citizenship. His said that he is a friend to all and wants to do well not only in class but out of class too. He has grown so much and we are so lucky to have him in our 5th grade class.

JJ is Mrs. Jones's Outstanding Oiler of Citizenship. Mrs. Jones states he arrives each day with a smile, ready to learn and engaged in all of his assignments. His enthusiasm for learning is infectious, and he is a supportive friend to all. JJ truly embodies the characteristics of excellent citizenship, making our school community a better place.

Mrs. Campbell’s class voted Zack to be our next Outstanding Oiler. He shows characteristics of being a good citizen by being respectful and kind to others. Students also say he never gives up and always tries his hardest. Students also said he shows good citizenship characteristics by always keeping his area clean and neat. I would agree that Zack is well deserving of this award. He is such a great addition to our classroom and shows great kindness. He is a hard worker and an absolute joy to be around. Thanks for being a great citizen to our classroom and school Zack. Keep up the great work.

Brady is Mrs. Belloso’s class Outstanding Oiler for Responsibility. His peers said he works hard, kind to others, helpful, does the right thing even when no one is watching, follows school rules, and helps people. Brady is a very responsible student and does what he is supposed to do!

Sophia was nominated by Ms. Whiteford and Ms Bee's class for Outstanding Oiler of Responsibility. Her classmates nominated her because she helps keep our room clean, pushes her chair in, does everything she is supposed to do and sometimes more, keeps her area neat and always works hard. Way to go Sophia!

The Oiler Market has special hours this week due to Parent-Teacher conferences. We will be open Wednesday and Thursday 3:15-6pm.

Nora is Ms. Conklin and Mrs. Collin's Outstanding Oiler of Responsibility. She shows up on time and always gets started right away. Nora completes and turns in her homework and completes all in class assignments. She tries her best and participates. Nora follows all the classroom and school rules and expectations. She is very reliable and helpful

Dear Eastwood Elementary Families,
We're excited to announce our upcoming Red Ribbon Week from October 28-November 1! This week is dedicated to promoting a drug-free lifestyle and encouraging healthy choices among our students.
Throughout the week, we will also have fun activities and discussions to promote awareness about making healthy choices.
The Red Ribbon parade is on October 31st, and students are allowed to wear their school-appropriate costumes. Students will start lining up at 1:15, and the parade begins at 1:30.

PJ was nominated in Ms. Baker's class’ Outstanding Oiler of Responsibility for many reasons. He always completes his work with the best of his ability and is always trying his best. He is always quiet in the halls, bathrooms, and follows all school expectations. He is always kind to other classmates and helps others when they need it. He is a very supportive friend and congratulates others for their accomplishments. He always makes sure he is following our school rules and reminds others when they need to make better choices. Keep up the great work, PJ.

Mrs. Darr stated that she is proud to nominate Ashlyn as our class's Outstanding Oiler of Responsibility. Ashlyn displays responsibility in the classroom, around the school, and on the playground. She follows Eastwood expectations and is always sure to complete her classwork and homework. I can always count on Ashlyn to do the right thing! Congratulations Ashlyn!

Kyra was chosen as Mrs. Booten and Mrs. McBride's Outstanding Oiler of Responsibility! She always follows directions and is a good listener. Kyra is a problem solver and helps her friends when they need it. She is kind to everyone and we are so lucky that she is in our class!

Addy was chosen as Mrs. Schranck's class Outstanding Oiler for Responsibility. Addy's peers stated that she is on task during instructional time, completes her assignments, and does not disrupt those around her during class time. I couldn't agree more with their statements of why Addy should be the Oiler of Responsibility. Addy turns in all of her homework in on time and is a leader in our classroom and throughout the school. Keep up the great work, Addy

Ms. Davison's class voted Michael our Outstanding Oiler of Responsibility, and I couldn't agree more. Michael always follows directions the first time, completes all of his work, and takes care of his materials. He is also a great friend to his peers! Keep up the great work, Michael. We are so proud of you!

Our Student Leadership Council will be hosting a Veteran's Day breakfast and flag raising for all of our local Veterans. We would love to honor those who have or are currently serving in our military. RSVP is not required.
