Mrs. Booten and Mrs. McBride’s class chose Miyah for Outstanding Oiler of Cooperation! Miyah is really kind and helpful to everyone. She shares and is always willing to give up something for a friend. Miyah always has a smile on her face, and we are lucky to have her in our class. She is a perfect example of showing cooperation!
As we head into the final stretch of the school year starting April 16th, we want to make sure everyone is prepared for the last 26 days of learning and fun! We've put together an ABC calendar to help keep you and your child excited for the remaining days.

Mrs. Lakho chose Adi as the Outstanding Oiler of Cooperation.Mrs. Lakho says Adi is always respectful to his peers and loves working together with them in the classroom and outside of the classroom. He loves learning from his peers and is always offering to help others. Adi is a pleasure to have in class.
Corben is Mrs. Howell’s class, Oustanding Oiler of Cooperaton. Mrs. Howell says Corben is the definition of cooperation!! He is a friend to EVERYONE, and always kind. Corben works well with all students to complete any task I ask of them. He is a great sport when we play our classroom games and helps encourage others to do the same. I look forward to his smile every morning! I am so proud of Corben... keep up the good work!
Lacy is Mrs. McCann’s Outstanding Oiler of Cooperation. Mrs. McCann says Lacy is always quick to lend a hand to help a classmate or a teacher. She always works well when she teams up with a partner in class and works hard to get the job done. Lacy is a great example of cooperation in our classroom. Great job Lacy! We are all so proud of you!
T.J. was chosen by his peers to be this month's Outstanding Oiler of Cooperation for Mrs. Jones’s class. T.J. comes to school everyday with a smile and an eagerness to learn. He is a friend to everyone in the room and works well with all of his peers. Mrs. Jones knows she can place T.J. in any group and he will bring out the best of all of his peers. T.J. is the best example of cooperation and Mrs. Jones is so blessed to have him in her class this year. Keep doing great things, T.J.
Mrs. Schranck’s class chose G'Saun as their Outstanding Oiler of Cooperation because in class, he can be found listening to directions the first time and encouraging his peers to do the same. He is a leader in their classroom by being kind, respectful, and responsible. His manners and kindness to those around him are a couple of Mrs. Schranck’s favorite things about him. When you pass G'Saun in the hallway, you can almost guarantee he will have a smile on his face. G'Saun is new to our district this year, and we are so lucky to have received him! Keep up the great work, G'Saun!
Mrs. Hinnen and Mr. Hensley’s class chose RayLynn as their Outstanding Oiler of Cooperation. They say she does everything they ask her to do and more. She is one of a kind and they are so lucky to have her in their 5th grade class. Keep up the great work and keep being you!

Attention Eastwood families, during the weeks of April 3rd-April 11th, all 3rd-8th grade students will take one state IAR assessment per day in either Math and English Language Arts. No assessment can ever fully capture the skills and abilities of a great teacher or the extraordinary benefits and positive impact of a great school, however, the IAR will help provide a sense of where and how we are succeeding and where and how we must improve. The IAR assessment is designed to give schools and teachers more information to support improvement efforts and personalize teaching to better guide your child’s learning. Mrs. Keys says Isaiah was chosen as our Outstanding Oiler of Honesty. He tells the truth even when it is difficult. Isaiah is kind and trustworthy. He is a good friend to everyone in our class, and they know that when Isaiah shares something, it is always the truth. I love having someone as good-hearted as Isaiah in my room.

Mrs. Naylor and Mrs. Green says, Gavin is our class Outstanding Oiler of Honesty. Gavin is a trustworthy student who tells the truth and shows integrity even when it's hard. Gavin has worked so hard this year expressing himself and being honest with his feelings. We can always count on Gavin to be trustworthy during independent times. He is a good friend, and we love having Gavin be apart of our classroom family. Keep up the good work, Gavin!
