Tarajii is Mr. Whiteford and Ms. Bee's class Outstanding Oiler of Honesty! We know that we can count on Tarajii everyday to do what is expected, be a role model for her peers and we can always count on her to be honest and trustworthy! We know that in every situation Tarajii will do the right thing and even when things get difficult she will always be honest! Keep up the great work Tarajii!
Mrs. Campbell's class voted, and we agree that Holden deserves the Outstanding Oiler of Honesty. We can always count on Holden to tell the truth in any situation, even when it might be hard. Holden has made such great progress this year, and continues to grow and succeed. We are all so proud of all of his accomplishments this year, and we know he will continue to do great things for many years to come. I am honored to have such an honest and trustworthy student like Holden in my class.
Kolbie is the Outstanding Oiler of Honesty. Mrs. Belloso stated Kolbie is a great example of honesty. She will be the first one to tell the truth in any situation. Whether taking a test, completing homework, or working on a group project, she never cheats or takes shortcuts. Her teachers and classmates respect her for her integrity, knowing they can always count on her to be fair and trustworthy
Brantley was chosen by Ms. Conklin as the Outstanding Oiler of Honesty. Brantley is very honest. Even when the answers are difficult, he will be truthful. He does his own work and doesn't take what isn't his. He tells how he feels and is honest with people around him.

Everyone who earned a Superstar Ticket during the month of February was entered into a second-chance drawing, and these were our lucky winners! Mrs. Staten selected Isaih as the Oustanding Oiler of Self Control. Mrs. Staten stated although Isaiah exemplifies all of our character ed words, he shows patience and self-control everyday. Isaiah has a strong sense of right and wrong, and he always chooses the right thing to do. He is kind with his friends and shows respect for his teachers. Isaiah waits patiently for his turn and always listens to his friends when they are speaking. Isaiah is a perfect example of self-control for his classmates.
Knox was chosen as Mrs. Key's Outstanding Oiler of Self Control. Mrs. Keys states that Knox has grown so much this year, making him the perfect candidate for Outstanding Oiler of Self Control. Knox has learned to be patient and focus on his choices over other peoples. He knows the difference between inside behavior and outside. Knox always works hard in class and models ideal behavior. If he becomes too excited Knox takes the time to breath, calm down, and try again. I am extremely proud of the progress he has made this year.
Maddie was chosen as Mrs. Baker's Outstanding Oiler of Honesty. Maddie is always honest, even if telling the truth is hard. Maddie is very reliable and someone that everyone can count on! She is always respectful, responsible, and safe. Maddie is the sweetest girl and an amazing friend to all. Way to go, Maddie- we are proud of you!
Jackson is Mrs. Booten's Outstanding Oiler of Honesty. Jackson is the perfect choice for our Outstanding Oiler of HONESTY for many reasons! He is always honest to himself and others even when it's hard. Jackson shows good behavior and always follows school rules. He is kind to his friends and wants them to be the best they can be! We are so lucky to have Jackson in our class and look forward to watching him grow!
Amelia is Mrs. Darr's Outstanding OIiler of Self Control. Mrs. Darr stated that Ameilia consistently demonstrates exceptional self control in the classroom. If other students are off task or talking, Amelia remains focused and calm, carefully following the teachers instructions. If she feels frustrated or disappointed, such as when she makes a mistake on an assignment, Amelia takes a deep breath and thinks before reacting. Her self control not only helps her achieve academic success but also earn the respect of her peers and teachers. Congratulations Amelia!
March Calendar
Ms. Whiteford and Ms. Bee have nominated Dallas as our Outstanding Oiler of Self Control. Ms. Whiteford states I've had the privilege to be Dallas' teacher in 2 different grades. Dallas has shown a lot of personal growth specifically in her self control. Dallas has practiced many of second step skills to help her through difficult situations. Even when she makes a mistake she is able to reflect on where she went wrong and plans for how to do better in the future. Keep working hard and practicing those skills Dallas. Way to go!
Mrs. Schranck chose Sophia for our Outstanding Oiler of Self Control. Sophia has worked hard to better herself this year by completing all of her homework, trying hard on her classwork, and not letting her classmates distract her. Sophia set a goal for herself to do better at school and she has met that goal. Keep up the hard work Sophia. I am so proud of you!
Joe is Mrs. Campbell's class Outstanding Oiler of Self Control. Joe shows self-control by raising his hand to be called on in class, standing quiet at the restroom, and is able to stay patient and wait his turn. Joe shows self control in his emotions and thinks before he reacts to a situation. I am honored to be Joe's teacher this year. He is an excellent example to others and a great role model in our school. Keep up the great work Joe.

Every year, schools across the country celebrate Read Across America Day, which coincides with the birthday of Dr. Seuss on March 2. To honor Dr. Seuss and the many authors who have enriched our lives, we will celebrate reading throughout the week.
Throughout the week, we will celebrate reading with a special theme each day. All staff and students are encouraged to participate.
