Mrs. Staten selected Isaih as the Oustanding Oiler of Self Control. Mrs. Staten stated although Isaiah exemplifies all of our character ed words, he shows patience and self-control everyday. Isaiah has a strong sense of right and wrong, and he always chooses the right thing to do. He is kind with his friends and shows respect for his teachers. Isaiah waits patiently for his turn and always listens to his friends when they are speaking. Isaiah is a perfect example of self-control for his classmates.

Knox was chosen as Mrs. Key's Outstanding Oiler of Self Control. Mrs. Keys states that Knox has grown so much this year, making him the perfect candidate for Outstanding Oiler of Self Control. Knox has learned to be patient and focus on his choices over other peoples. He knows the difference between inside behavior and outside. Knox always works hard in class and models ideal behavior. If he becomes too excited Knox takes the time to breath, calm down, and try again. I am extremely proud of the progress he has made this year.

Amelia is Mrs. Darr's Outstanding OIiler of Self Control. Mrs. Darr stated that Ameilia consistently demonstrates exceptional self control in the classroom. If other students are off task or talking, Amelia remains focused and calm, carefully following the teachers instructions. If she feels frustrated or disappointed, such as when she makes a mistake on an assignment, Amelia takes a deep breath and thinks before reacting. Ms. Whiteford and Ms. Bee have nominated Dallas as our Outstanding Oiler of Self Control. Ms. Whiteford states I've had the privilege to be Dallas' teacher in 2 different grades. Dallas has shown a lot of personal growth specifically in her self control. Dallas has practiced many of second step skills to help her through difficult situations. Even when she makes a mistake she is able to reflect on where she went wrong and plans for how to do better in the future. Keep working hard and practicing those skills Dallas. Way to go!

Sophia has worked hard to better herself this year by completing all of her homework, trying hard on her classwork, and not letting her classmates distract her. To honor Dr. Seuss and the many authors who have enriched our lives, we will celebrate reading throughout the week. Throughout the week, we will celebrate reading with a special theme each day. All staff and students are encouraged to participate.
